Liam Young

After a decade of working for premier legal practices, in government regulation and as an in-house counsel, Liam Young decided it was time to open his own firm at the end of 2017. Liam has provided advice to a broad range of clients including large multinationals, ASX listed companies, Commonwealth government agencies and small start up operations. He has a broad range of experience across commercial/corporate matters and in commercial litigation. It's Liam's mission to help his clients grow their business and not be seen as the handbrake to happiness. Royal Commission - Acting for two parties, in the financial services and insurances sectors respectively, in the Financial Services Royal Commission.

Regulatory - Appearing in the Federal Court with respect to the alleged financial services law breaches commenced by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Acting for several clients in responding to regulatory notices. Acting for clients in administrative proceedings commenced by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Privacy - Acting for a range of companies in implementing policies and procedures required in response to the European GDPR.

M&A - Acting for an Australian company in an acquisition by a US listed entity. Acting for a mining services provider in a range of acquisitions.

Commercial - Acting for a media company in an equity placement by a Hong Kong based investor.

Funds Management - Acting for several schemes in compliance issues and advice on constitutional amendments.

Financial Advice - Acting for several Australian financial services licensees in their ongoing compliance and complaint handling processes.

Fintech - Advising several start up companies in the fintech space regarding regulatory requirements.

Stacie is our office go-to and keeps everything on an even keel. Her passion is customer service and she's in charge of making sure we deliver a top class client experience each and every time. As an experienced teacher she also knows how to break down the sometimes impenetrable legal language in a more relatable manner so that our clients can get a better understanding of their matter. In addition to all that, Stacie has also owned and operated her own successful business so knows the challenges our smaller clients face and how we can help them.
